WISCONSIN FARMERS UNION, A MEMBER-DRIVEN ORGANIZATION, IS COMMITTED TO ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR FAMILY FARMERS, RURAL COMMUNITIES, AND ALL PEOPLE THROUGH EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, COOPERATIVE ENDEAVORS, AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT.

ENCOURAGE AND ASSIST INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES TO ACHIEVE THEIR PHILANTHROPIC GOALS BY ACCEPTING AND RECEIVING CONTRIBUTIONS; MANAGING AND GROWING FOUNDATION ASSETS; AND DISTRIBUTING AND GRANTING FUNDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GIFT OR DETERMINATIONS MADE BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

The goal of this organization is to run schools comprising any span of grades beginning with the next grade following an elementary school and ending at or below grade 12.

TO EMPOWER AND SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS TO ACHIEVE THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE IN THE COMMUNITY. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION AND OTHER EMPLOYMENT AND COMMUNITY INTEGRATION SERVICES TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES OR OTHER BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT. SERVICES INCLUDE VOCATIONAL EVALUATION, JOB PLACEMENT, JOB COACHING, TRANSITIONAL EMPLOYMENT SERVICES, REST AREA MAINTENANCE SERVICES, JOB CLUBS/CLINICS, AND PREVOCATIONAL SERVICES.

Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family.
