The goal of this organization is to develop, maintain and make available to the general public recreational areas which are equipped with athletic fields and courts, campgrounds, picnic areas and a variety of recreational trails such as bridle trails, hiking trails, off-the-road vehicle trails and snowmobile trails.

THE ORGANIZATION UNITES ITS MEMBERS IN THE BONDS OF FRATERNITY, BENEVOLENCE, AND CHARITY. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH A YEAR-ROUND SCHEDULE OF SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES, ESTIMATED AT 1200 MEMBERS.

TO PROMOTE AWARENESS AND TRAINING FOR MEMBERS IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY AND THEIR EMPLOYEES

WE WISH TO OPEN DOORS AND REMOVE THE BARRIERS FOR PEOPLE SEEKING TREATMENT, ENSURING HEALTHY AND SUSTAINING PATIENT RECOVERY. WE WILL STRIVE TO CREATE PATHWAYS FOR PATIENTS TO REASSIMILATE INTO SOCIETY BY SUPPORTING THE TRANSITIONS FROM THIS DISORDER, TO RECOVERY, TO INDEPENDENT LIVING. FINALLY, WE WANT TO MAKE THIS JOURNEY EASIER FOR PEOPLE WITH SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS. DEVELOPING A RECOVERY COMMUNITY SUPPORTED BY RECOVERY PROGRAMS, MEETINGS, JOB SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING.

THE PURPOSE OF THE SOCIETY IS TO STUDY, RECORD, COLLECT, AND PRESERVE THE HISTORY OF MORRISTOWN AND ITS ENVIRONS FOR POSTERITY. THE SOCIETY SHALL PROVIDE EDUCATION ABOUT MORRISTOWN'S HISTORY THROUGH EXHIBITS, PROGRAMS AND ACCESS TO ITS COLLECTIONS.

Also included are social clubs that provide opportunities for people to meet and socialize with their peers at dances, parties, picnics, barbecues and other companionable events; and special interest clubs which enable people to share hobbies or other interests with individuals with those same interests.

VERMONT PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION ASSOCIATION WORKS TO INCREASE MOBILITY FOR VERMONTERS BY PROVIDING SERVICE FOR NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS, ELDERLY AND DISABLED TRANSPORTATION, RIDES TO WORK (ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT), MOBILITY FOR NON-DRIVERS, CHOICES FOR COMMUTERS, ACCESS TO TOURIST AREAS AND DECREASING DEPENDENCE ON AUTOMOBILES AND IMPROVED AIR QUALITY.
