THE MISSION OF THE MCGHEE FOUNDATION IS TO CONTINUE THE EDUCATIONAL AND HUMANITARIAN LEGACY OF US AMBASSADOR GEORGE MCGHEE (1912-2005) BY SUPPORTING PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS THAT PROVIDE INSPIRATIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES AND ENRICH THE LIVES OF RESIDENTS IN THE VA PIEDMONT AREA.

MISSION:

THE MASTERS OF FOXHOUNDS ASSOCIATION (MFHA) IS THE GOVERNING BODY OF (CONTINUED ON SCH. O) ORGANIZED, MOUNTED HUNTING OF ACCEPTABLE QUARRY WITHIN NORTH AMERICA AND CANADA. IT PROMOTES AND PROTECTS THE SPORT, RECOGNIZES ORGANIZED HUNTS WHICH MEET ITS PUBLISHED STANDARDS BASED ON GOOD SPORTING PRACTICES, REGISTERS HUNT TERRITORY, MAINTAINS AND PUBLISHES A BREED REGISTRY FOR THE WORKING FOXHOUND, ENCOURAGES LAND CONSERVATION, AND MANAGES THE HUNT STAFF BENEFIT FOUNDATION AND THE MFHA FOUNDATION. THE MFHA ENFORCES THEIR RULES AND STANDARDS WITH ON SITE INSPECTIONS CONDUCTED BY THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND DIRECTORS OF THE ASSOCIATION. THEY ALSO INVESTIGATE AND ASSIST HUNTS WITH PROBLEMS.

THEY WILL LEARN AT THEIR OWN PACE FROM TEACHERS WHO BRING OUT A CHILD'S NATURAL CURIOSITY. STUDENTS WILL BE CHALLENGED, NOT FRUSTRATED, THROUGH INNOVATIVE PUBLIC EDUCATION, IN A SMALL SCHOOL USING CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY.

THE FESTIVAL'S MISSION RECOGNIZES AND SUPPORTS THE POWER OF FILM TO INSPIRE, EDUCATE, AND ENGAGE AUDIENCES OF DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS AND PERSPECTIVES TO HELP BUILD NEW BRIDGES OF EMPATHY AND UNDERSTANDING.
