LANDIS VALLEY ASSOCIATES SUPPORTS THE LANDIS VALLEY VILLAGE AND FARM MUSEUM, A LIVING HISTORY MUSEUM WHICH COLLECTS, PRESERVES, AND INTERPRETS THE HISTORY AND MATERIAL CULTURE OF THE PENNSYLVANIA GERMANS OF THE PERIOD 1740-1940.

MISSION:

TO SOLICIT FUNDS FOR THE NAZARETH HOSPITAL AND SCHOOL OF NURSING IN NAZARETH, ISRAEL.

The goal of this organization are the organizations concerned with civil society, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector who seek to promote the practice of charitable giving and voluntarism through a variety of strategies including advocacy, disclosure, information exchange, and research. The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

PROMOTES PENN STATE IN LANCASTER COUNTY BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS ATTENDING PENN STATE, SPONSORING TRIPS, DOING COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS, AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES.

The goal of this organization is to support and fund raise for a single institution within the Education major group.

THE RELIEF ASSOCIATION IS AN ALL VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION PROVIDING SUPPORT TO THE WEST HEMPFIELD FIRE AND RESCUE COMPANY BY WAY OF PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE PROTECTION OF THEIR VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS. THESE FUNDS PROVIDE BENEFITS TO VOLUNTEERS TO ENCOURAGE INDIVIDUALS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FIRE SERVICE. FUNDS ARE ALSO USED TO PAY THE EXPENSES OF TRAINING EMERGENCY SERVICE PERSONNEL AND TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT TO PROTECT THEM IN THE COURSE OF THEIR HAZARDOUS DUTIES.

The goal of this organization is to enable students who demonstrate financial need to obtain the financial assistance they require to meet their educational and living expenses while in school.

The goal of this organization are the neighborhood-based multipurpose centers that offer, at a single location, a wide variety of services and activities that are structured to meet the needs of the entire community through different programs for different age and interest groups.

The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

REPRESENT DISTRICT JUSTICES - THE ORGANIZATION PUBLISHES A JOURNAL FOR IT'S MEMBERS. MEETINGS AND AN ANNUAL RECEPTION WITH STATE LEGISLATORS PROVIDE NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES.

A WEEK AWAY FOUNDATION COORDINATES AND FINANCES RESPITE WEEKS FOR FAMILIES WHO ARE BATTLING A LIFE-THREATENING ILLNESS, WITH THE GOAL OF PROVIDING THEM THE HOPE THEY NEED TO CONTINUE FIGHTING THEIR DISEASE.
