THE ORGANIZATION INTENDS TO GRANT FUNDS TO INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS SEEKING, THROUGH RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND TREATMENT, TO SUPPORT PATIENTS WITH FOXG1 SYNDROME AND SIMILAR DISORDERS.

IT IS THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION TO RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE NEEDS OF THE PORT WASHINGTON PUBLIC LIBRARY NOT COVERED BY TAXES AND TO MAINTAIN ITS VIABILITY FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS. OUR VISION IS TO PROVIDE FULL AND SUSTAINABLE FUNDING TO MAKE POSSIBLE THE VISION OF THE LIBRARY FOR THE BENEFIT IF THE ENTIRE PORT WASHINGTON COMMUNITY.

MISSION:

THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE COMMUNITY CHEST IS TO RAISE FUNDS TO BE DISBURSED AS GRANTS TO OTHER CAREFULLY SCREENED NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROVIDE A WIDE RANGE OF SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS OF PORT WASHINGTON. THE COMMUNITY CHEST ALSO RENTS SPACE WITHIN ITS FACILITY AT BELOW MARKET RATES TO NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS,HELPING THEM FULFILL THEIR MISSIONS. IN MARCH 2020, THE COMMUNITY CHEST INITIATED AND ADMINISTERED THE PORT WASHINGTON COVID-19 COMMUNITY RESPONSE FUND TO MAKE COVID-19 EMERGENCY GRANTS FOR FOOD NEEDS, HOUSING COSTS AND OTHER EXPENSES TO EXISTING COMMUNITY AND FAITH-BASED ORGANIZATIONS THAT HAVE STRONG EXPERIENCE SUPPORTING PORT WASHINGTON RESIDENTS.

A MASONIC LODGE FOR THE BENEFIT OF SOCIETY IMPROVING THE CITIZENSHIP AND ETHICAL BEHAVIOR OF ITS MEMBERS
