THE CORPORATION HOLDS TITLE TO LAND AND BUILDING ON BEHALF OF IUOE LOCAL 138, A TAX EXEMPT ORGANIZATION, UNDER INTERNATIONAL UNION LOCAL 138, 138A, 138B AND 138C, A TAX EXEMPT ORGANIZATION, UNDER CODE SECTION 501(C)5, FOR THE EXCLUSIVE BENEFIT OF ITS MEMBERS.

MISSION:

TO DELIVER EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS TO ITS MEMBERS AND DEPENDENTS WHICH FURTHER THE COMMON INTERESTS OF THE MEMBERSHIP.

TO PROVIDE VOLUNTEER FIRE FIGHTING AND RESCUE SERVICES TO PROTECT THE LIVES AND PROPERTY OF THE CITIZENS OF THE COMMUNITY.

REBUILDING TOGETHER LONG ISLAND SERVES OUR STRUGGLING NEIGHBORS AND COMMUNITIES IN NASSAU AND SUFFOLK COUNTIES THROUGH ITS MISSION OF REPAIRING HOMES, REVITALIZING COMMUNITIES AND REBUILDING LIVES. BY UTILIZING THE TALENTS AND RESOURCES OF OUR VOLUNTEERS, AS WELL AS TRADE PROFESSIONALS, OUR FREE REPAIR AND MODIFICATION PROGRAMS IMPROVE THE SAFETY, LIVING CONDITIONS AND QUALITY OF LIFE FOR SENIORS, VETERANS, FAMILIES AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.

The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

DEVELOP EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR THE INTERPRETATON AND APPLICALTION OF CODES, STANDARDS AND ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO THE INSTALLATION AND INSPECTION OF FIRE ALARMS.

THE FOUNDATION SHALL SUPPORT THE LONG ISLAND COMMUNITY BY: (A) PROVIDING FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO LOCAL CHARITIES AND COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATIONS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE AND, (B) FACILITATING INCREASED AWARENESS OF LOCAL ISSUES AND INITIATIVES BY PARTNERING WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS IN SUPPORT OF THEIR EFFORTS TO REACH OUT TO THE PUBLIC AND HELPING TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR SUCH AS WELL AS, (C) PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES FOR COMMUNITY RESIDENTS THROUGH THE FORM OF SCHOLARSHIPS THAT WILL HELP TO OFFSET SOME OF THE EXPENSES OF PURSUING A COLLEGE DEGREE FOR LONG ISLAND HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS AND LONG ISLAND COLLEGE STUDENTS.
