SOMOS ACCION'S MISSION IS TO BUILD A COMMUNITY THAT DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE AGAINST PEOPLE BASED ON THEIR NATIONAL ORIGIN, THAT INSTITUTES HUMANE MIGRATION POLICIES, AND THAT PROTECTS THE RIGHTS OF EVERYONE. SOMOS ACCION INTENDS TO ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION BY ADVOCATING FOR POLICIES THAT PROMOTE THE COMMON GOOD AND WELFARE, SUCH AS CIVIL RIGHTS, EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS, HUMAN RIGHTS, VOTING RIGHTS, AND THE ECONOMY AND JOBS.

SERVES AS A SPOKESMAN FOR THE MINING INDUSTRY IN BOTH THE LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY ARENAS.

THE CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE PURPOSES UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE OF 1986, AS AMENDED. THE DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS NAMED HEREIN ARE ACTING BY THE AUTHORITY OF AND UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE SUPREME COUNCIL 33, ANCIENT AND ACCEPTED SCOTTISH RITE OF FREEMASONRY, SOUTHERN JURISDICTION, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (HEREINAFTER THE SUPREME COUNCIL.) THE PURPOSE OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO HELP CHILDREN LEARN TO SPEAK, READ AND WRITE BY SUPPORTING LEARNING CENTERS THROUGHOUT THE STATE USING THE SCOTTISH RITE PROGRAM AND OTHER CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES.

TO ENHANCE THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES THROUGH RECREATION. PROVIDING ADAPTIVE SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING LESSONS IN THE WINTER AND ADAPTIVE WATER SPORTS (SAILING, KAYAKING, PADDLEBOARDING) LESSONS IN THE SUMMER TO PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL AND/OR COGNITIVE DISABILITIES.
