THE ARTS IN GARRETT COUNTY: -PROVIDE GROWTH, FOSTER CONSUMER SPENDING AND GENERATE TAX REVENUES; -SUPPORT HIGH QUALITY EDUCATION FOR OUR SCHOOL CHILDREN BY RAISING ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, FOSTERING POSITIVE WORK ETHIC, AND IMPROVE ATTENDANCE; BUILD COMMUNITIES THAT WILL ATTRACT AND RETAIN AN EDUCATED AND CREATIVE WORKFORCE; ATTRACT TOURISTS TO OUR AREA; -ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN OUR COMMUNITY; AND -CELEBRATE THE RICH DIVERSITY AND HISTORY OF OUR CULTURAL ACHIEVEMENTS.

Coaching; access to skating rinks, ski slopes or other facilities; sports equipment; and officials for competitions are generally included.
