MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION LINES AND THE PURCHASE AND RESALE OF ELECTRIC POWER TO MEMBERS, ON A NONPROFIT BASIS, WHO LIVE WITHIN A SPECIFIED GEOGRAPHIC SERVICE AREA. SERVICE IS PROVIDED TO MORE THAN 400 MEMBERS

MISSION:

JOHN O'BRIEN IS A 14-UNIT, SECTION 811 HOUSING PROJECT THAT PROVIDES HOUSING FOR VERY LOW INCOME PERSONS WHO ARE DISABLED DUE TO CHRONIC MENTAL ILLNESS AND PROVIDES SUCH HOUSING ACCOMODATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT'S REGULATIONS.

MISSION:

THE PROGRAM PROVIDES TRANSPORTATION, OUTREACH SERVICES, MEALS, AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS TO THE COMMUNITY'S ELDERLY CITIZENS. THE PROGRAM SERVES MORE THAN 21,000 SENIOR CITIZENS IN MERIDIAN, IDAHO. SENIORS ARE TRANSPORTED FOR MEDICAL CARE, WEEKLY SHOPPING, AND TO THE CENTER FOR MEALS AND ACTIVITIES. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES MEALS AT THE CENTER AND TO SENIORS IN THEIR HOMES. DURING 2021 THE PROGRAM PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 16,027 MEALS AND TRANSPORTED APPROXIMATELY 2,853 SENIORS WITH APPROXIMATELY 7,536 MILES TRAVELED.
