OUR MISSION IS TO PROTECT, PERPETUATE, AND ENHANCE THE CULTURAL AND NATURAL LANDSCAPE OF THE KIHOLO BAY AREA THROUGH COLLABORATIVE MANAGEMENT AND ACTIVE COMMUNITY STEWARDSHIP.

MISSION:

TO IMPROVE THE EDUCATIONAL AND ECONOMIC STATUS OF NATIVE HAWAIIANS AND LOW INCOME PEOPLE BY PROVIDING EDUCATION, TRAINING AND FINANCIAL PRODUCTS TO COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATIONS, PUBLIC ENTITIES, AND INDIVIDUALS IN THE STATE OF HAWAII.

MISSION:

MONTESSORI EDUCATION CENTER OF HAWAII (MECH) IS A PRIVATE, NON-PROFIT, STATE LICENSED MONTESSORI PRIMARY, PRE-PRIMARY AND KINDERGARTEN SCHOOL, SERVING CHILDREN BETWEEN TWO AND SEVEN YEARS OF AGE. ESTABLISHED IN 1984, THE SCHOOL IS LOCATED IN THE BEAUTIFUL TOWN OF WAIMEA ON THE BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII. MECH IS EQUIPPED TO ACCOMMODATE HANDICAPPED AND SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN AND ENCOURAGES AN INTEGRATED PROGRAM AVAILABLE TO ALL CHILDREN FROM A WIDE VARIETY OF ETHNIC AND ECONOMIC BACKGROUNDS.

SMALL WORLD PRESCHOOL'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE DAYCARE AND PRE-SCHOOL SERVICES TO LOCAL CHILDREN WHERE THE CHILDREN RECEIVE EXCELLENT CARE AND EDUCATION.

SERVE AS THE PRIMARY HUB OF WILDFIRE PREVENTION, MITIGATION AND PLANNING ACTIVITIES IN THE HAWAII PACIFIC REGION THROUGH PROACTIVE, COLLABORATIVE AND FORWARD THINKING PROJECTS.

WEST HAWAII MEDIATION CENTER'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND EDUCATION SERVICES TO EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS AND BUILD COMMUNITIES THAT VIEW CONFLICT RESOLUTION AS A CATALYST FOR POSITIVE CHANGE. THROUGH OUR MEDIATION AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS, WHMC PROVIDES TOOLS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE TO RESOLVE THEIR DIFFERENCES IN A SAFE AND NEUTRAL ENVIRONMENT.

MISSION:

CULTIVATING CONNECTIONS BETWEEN PEOPLE, LAND, CULTURE AND FOOD IN SCHOOL GARDENS. WE CREATE A DYNAMIC LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR OUR WAIMEA MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS AND THE GREATER COMMUNITY BY CREATING AND SUSTAINING AN ORGANIC GARDEN AND KITCHEN CLASSROOM THAT ENGAGES STUDENTS AND ADULTS IN ALL ASPECTS OF GROWING, HARVESTING, PREPARING AND SHARING NOURISHING, HEALTHY FOOD. WE ALSO SUPPORT OTHER SCHOOL GARDENS ON HAWAII ISLAND BY OFFERING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS, ADVOCACY ON A STATEWIDE LEVEL, AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR GARDEN STAFF AND COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS.

The goal of this organization is to preserve and protect endangered land resources from indiscriminate development, destruction or decay and which manage the utilization of renewable and nonrenewable resources to ensure ongoing availability. Included are conservation of the nations forests, rangeland, vegetation, deserts, wild and scenic rivers and other wilderness areas and open land spaces; and reestablishment of areas that have been devastated by destructive activities such as strip mining or other destructive activities.

PROMOTE THE COMMON INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS WITH REGARD TO ENCOURAGING AND FURTHERING PLANNED RESORT DEVELOPMENTS WITHIN THE KOHALA COAST REGION, COUNTY OF HAWAII, FOR MIXED RESORT USES, INCLUDING HOTELS, SINGLE AND MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENCES AND MAJOR RECREATIONAL AMENITIES.

The goal of this organization is to operate institutions outside the formal system of regular schools, colleges, universities and technical/trade schools that provide opportunities for adults to develop basic learning and communication skills, complete their high school education, expand their knowledge in a particular field or discipline or develop skills in a new area of interest.
