MISSION:

DARIEN ARTS CENTER IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO EDUCATING, PROMOTING AND PROVIDING MEANS OF ARTISTIC EXPRESSION AND APPRECIATION IN DANCE, MUSIC, VISUAL ARTS AND THEATER FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES.

MISSION:

THE NOROTON HEIGHTS DEPOT IS A TEEN CENTER WHICH PROVIDES A SAFE, SUPERVISED, DRUG-FREE AND ALCOHOL-FREE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH HIGH SCHOOL AGE YOUTH CAN GATHER AND SOCIALIZE. THROUGH ITS OWN STUDENT GOVERNANCE AND RECREATIONAL INTER- FACE WITH OTHER YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS AND THE HIGH SCHOOL. THE DEPOT OFFERS OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCES AND POSITIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT.

TO PROVIDE MEETING FACILITIES AND RELATED ITEMS FOR OTHER MASONIC ORGANIZATIONS.

THE MISSION OF THE COUNCIL OF DARIEN SCHOOL PARENTS IS TO PROMOTE AND FURTHER THE WELFARE OF STUDENTS, STAFF, AND SCHOOLS IN DARIEN. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY PROMOTING UNDERSTANDING AND EFFECTIVE COOPERATION BETWEEN PARENTS AND SCHOOL OFFICIALS, BY INCREASING THE AWARENESS OF PARENTS AND TEACHERS ABOUT ISSUES AND TRENDS WHICH AFFECT THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION, AND BY ACTING AS A MEDIUM THROUGH WHICH PARENTS, TEACHERS, STAFF, AND STUDENTS MAY COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER. THE COUNCIL ALSO PROVIDES AND ASSISTS IN PROVIDING FUNDS FOR ITEMS AND EVENTS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE EDUCATION AND WELFARE OF THE STUDENTS, STAFF, AND SCHOOL AS A WHOLE.

TO PROMOTE SPORTS EDUCATION AND TRAINING FOR YOUTH AND LESSENING THE BURDENS OF GOVERNMENT BY SUPPORTING PROJECTS TO IMPROVE AND MAINTAIN ATHLETIC FIELDS AND FACILITIES THAT ARE WITHIN THE CARE, CUSTODY AND CONTROL OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION IN THE TOWN OF DARIEN, CT.
