The goal of this organization is to raise and distribute funds for multiple organizations within the Arts, Culture, and Humanities major group area.

THE OPERATING BOARD OF THE ANDREW SHAW MEMORIAL TRUST MANAGES THE ANDREW SHAW MEMORIAL TRUST ON BEHALF OF THE TRUSTEES AND PROVIDES ITS SCOUT CABIN, FACILITIES AND PROPERTY: * FIRST AND FOREMOST TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT QUALITY BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA PROGRAMS FOR THE BENEFIT OF YOUTH IN THE TOWN OF DARIEN; AND * SECOND, FOR THE BENEFIT OF OTHER BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA UNITS IT MAY SPONSOR; * AND IF THESE NEEDS ARE MET, TO ALLOW USE OF THE SCOUT CABIN TO OTHER DARIEN YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS WITH SIMILAR VALUES TO THE BOY SCOUT PROGRAM.

THE DARIEN FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE GRANT FUNDING FOR TECHNOLOGY AND CAPITAL PROJECTS THAT CREATE OPPORTUNITY FOR DARIEN'S YOUTH, SUPPORT TOWN SAFETY AND SECURITY SERVICES, ENHANCE THE OVERALL QUALITY OF LIFE IN DARIEN, AND OTHERWISE BENEFIT THE CITIZENS OF DARIEN, CONNECTICUT. THE GOAL IS TO OFFER A CENTRAL LOCATION FOR RESIDENTS AND CORPORATE DONORS WHO WISH TO SUPPORT WORTHY TOWN PROJECTS. THE FOUNDATION IS COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING TECHNOLOGY AND CAPITAL INITIATIVES FOR THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS, EMERGENCY SERVICES, AND OTHER LOCAL OR TOWN ORGANIZATIONS. THE FOUNDATION'S BROAD AND DIVERSE BOARD OF DIRECTORS STRIVES TO APPLY A CONSISTENT METHODOLOGY IN REVIEWING GRANT REQUESTS AND HOLDING GRANT RECIPIENTS ACCOUNTABLE. THE MAJORITY OF THE FOUNDATION'S REVENUES COME FROM CONTRIBUTIONS FROM THE PUBLIC.
