MISSION:

CHALLENGE DAY IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO BUILDING EMPATHY AND COMPASSION IN OUR COMMUNITIES. WE HELP YOUTH AND ADULTS UNLEARN HARMFUL HABITS, EXPERIENCE VULNERABILITY AS A PILLAR TO RESTORE STRENGTH, AND EXPERIENCE THE FREEDOM OF FULL EXPRESSION THROUGH THE LENS OF COMPASSION, CONNECTION, AND DIVERSITY. IN THE PAST 5 YEARS WE HAVE SUPPORTED 300,000 STUDENTS AND 60,000 ADULTS DIRECTLY.

MISSION:

TO HOLD A RELIGIOUS FESTIVAL EVERY YEAR. THIS FESTIVAL PROVIDES FOOD TO ALL IN ATTENDANCE, AND THEY MAKE A SPECIAL CONCENTRATION ON GIVING TO THE POOR.

THE AMERICAN LITERACY CORPORATION RECOGNIZES AND REWARDS TEACHERS WHO SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASE THE LITERACY LEVELS OF THEIR STUDENTS. WE BELIEVE THE TEACHER IS THE KEY TO IMPROVING THE LITERACY SKILLS OF LISTENING, SPEAKING, CRITICAL THINKING, READING, AND WRITING. IMPROVED LITERACY RESULTS IN GREATER PERFORMANCE AND PRODUCTIVITY, NOT ONLY IN SCHOOL, BUT ALSO IN THE WORK FORCE.
