THE COUNCIL PROMOTES AND SUPPORTS EDUCATION, APPRECIATION AND EXCELLENCE IN THE ARTS IN MONTEREY COUNTY BY FOSTERING CULTURAL AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING. IN ADDITION, THE COUNCIL PROVIDES FOR AN ARRAY OF AESTHETIC AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN.

ELKS INVEST IN THEIR COMMUNITIES THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT HELP CHILDREN GROW UP HEALTHY AND DRUG-FREE, MEET THE NEEDS OF TODAY'S VETERANS, AND IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE.

MARIPOSA'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE VERY LOW-INCOME PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING IN THE COMMUNITY, AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WITH A SERIOUS AND LONG TERM PSYCHIATRIC DISABILITY.

TO PROMOTE AND PROVIDE FOR THE CONSERVATION, RESTORATION AND PRESERVATION OF HISTORIC MISSION SAN MIGUEL, AND TO CARRY ON OTHER CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES.
