AT ITS HISTORIC FORMER CARNEGIE LIBRARY BUILDING, CFAER ALSO OFFERS FREE AND LOW-COST CONCERTS, READINGS, ARTS WORKSHOPS, SCREENINGS AND ART EXHIBITIONS TO THE CHILDREN, FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS FROM THE COMMUNITIES OF NORTHEAST LOS ANGELES AND BEYOND.

PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES COMMITTED TO STIMULATING A SPIRITUAL RENAISSANCE IN MODERN SOCIETY. BEGINNING WITH EDUCATING INDIVIDUALS IN HOW TO NURTURE THEIR INNER BEING, THEIR SOULS. HOLISTIC AND EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION WE OFFER INSPIRES AND CULTIVATES MUTUAL RESPECT FOR ALL HUMANITY. THE MISSION OF THE PHARIA FOUNDATION INCLUDES SPREADING AUTHENTIC, NON-SECTARIAN WESTERN SPIRITUAL PHILOSOPHY AND PRACTICES TO ADVANCE HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS IN SOCIETY, AND TO BRING ABOUT A BALANCED COOPERATION BETWEEN HUMANITY AND NATURE. Also included are organizations that encourage new, foreign and independent filmmakers through the organization and presentation of film expositions and festivals or which show old or difficult to obtain films in noncommercial facilities.

The goal of this organization are the organizations whose members are a worldwide group which constitutes a continuation through descent or conversion of the ancient Jewish people; who practice Judaism, a religion that is characterized by a belief in one God and in the mission of Jews to teach the oneness of God as revealed in the Hebrew scriptures. Organizations making reference to Lubavitch, Chabad, Yeshiva, and Torah should also be classified here, but not necessarily those mentioning Israel, Hebrew, and Shalom.

THROUGH OUR SIGNATURE PROGRAMS: THE BOOK FOUNDATION AND TAY SHOP AT THE EMPORIUM: FOSTER RESOURCE AND LITERACY CENTER, WE OFFER TARGETED PROGRAMS TO THOSE MOST AT RISK OF FALLING BEHIND. WE BELIEVE BEING LITERATE GOES BEYOND WORDS AND BOOKS. IT INCLUDES FINANCIAL AND NUTRITIONAL LITERACY, SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND HAVING ONE'S NEEDS MET WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT. WE AVOID A DUPLICATION OF EFFORT AND PROVIDE DEEPLY ENRICHED PROGRAMS BY PARTNERING WITH 'BEST-IN-CLASS' ORGANIZATIONS TO EFFECT POSITIVE AND LASTING CHANGE.

TRAVELED TO DEPRESSED FOREIGN COUNTRIES TO PERFORM SURGERIES ON UNDERPRIVILEGED PEOPLE. BUILD OUT A NEW MEDICAL FACILITY IN NEW BUILDING TO PERFORM SURGERIES ON UNDERPRIVILEGED PEOPLE.

The goal of this organization are the residential facilities for older adults who are unable to function in an independent living environment because they need assistance with toileting, bathing, dressing, medication, meals and housekeeping and other activities of daily living, but do not require nursing care on a regular basis.
