THE AGENCY MISSION IS TO HELP LOW INCOME, INNER CITY YOUTH TO STAY IN SCHOOL; TO ENGAGE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA STUDENTS IN MEANINGFUL COMMUNITY SERVICE; TO PROMOTE LASTING INTERRACIAL UNDERSTANDING, ESPECIALLY AMONG FUTURE COMMUNITY LEADERS; AND TO REMAIN A CENTER FOR REAL COMMUNITY, HOPE AND DEMOCRATIC VALUES.
