MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

MISSION:

THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH THE TRUST IS ORGANIZED IS TO BE OPERATED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FOLLOWING THREE NAMED CHARITIES: SISTERS OF MERCY OF THE AMERICAS SOUTH CENTRAL COMMUNITY, INC., THE DISCALCED CARMELITE NUNS, AND THE ALLEN MEMORIAL HOME, ALL OF WHICH ARE EXEMPT FROM FEDERAL INCOME TAX UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE.

MISSION:

TO PROVIDE HOUSING, HEALTHCARE AND OTHER RELATED SERVICES TO THE AGED AND IMPOVERISHED.LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR CARE FOR THE ELDERLY POOR IN THE SPIRIT OF HUMBLE SERVICE WHICH WAS RECEIVED FROM JEANNE JUGAN. THEY WELCOME THE ELDERLY AS THEY WOULD JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF AND SERVE THEM WITH LOVE AND RESPECT UNTIL DEATH.

THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES FINANCIAL AID FOR STUDENTS OF UMS-WRIGHT PREPARATORY SCHOOL, A 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION, AND FUNDS FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND REPAIRS OF SCHOOL FACILITIES.

MISSION:

THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH THE CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED ARE TO PROMOTE AND AUGMENT AN UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF THE MARITIME HISTORY, WITH PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON THE MARITIME HISTORY OF THE CITY OF MOBILE, STATE OF ALABAMA, AND THE GULF COAST, THROUGH THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF MUSEUM FACILITIES AND ONGOING RELATED ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING EDUCATION, RESEARCH, COLLECTION, DOCUMENTATION, EXHIBITION, AND PUBLICATION, AND TO RECEIVE AND MAINTAIN FUNDS AND APPLY THE INCOME AND PRINCIPAL THEREOF FOR THE AFORESAID PURPOSES; AND TO DO ANY AND ALL THINGS NECESSARY FOR, HELPFUL TO OR CONSISTENT WITH THESE PURPOSES.

TO PROMOTE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH WITHIN THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH ALABAMA HEALTH SYSTEM.

The goal of this organization is to plant, maintain and display for public study and enjoyment collections of flowers, trees, shrubs and ground cover, some of which are rare and exotic.

TO ASSIST THE MOBILE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM IN THE PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION OF BARTON ACADEMY AND THE SURROUNDING CAMPUS, AND TO ENCOURAGE THE CONTINUED USE AS A FACILITY DEDICATED TO ITS HISTORIC EDUCATIONAL MISSION.

HABITAT WORKS TOWARD THIS MISSION BY BUILDING STRENGTH, STABILITY AND SELF-RELIANCE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FAMILIES IN NEED OF DECENT AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING.

OUR MISSION AT ALLEN MEMORIAL IS TO CONTINUE THE HEALING MINISTRY OF CHRIST BY ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF THE LIVES OF THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY INCLUDING THE RESIDENTS OF ALLEN MEMORIAL HOME AND THOSE WHO SEEK HELP THROUGH CATHOLIC SOCIAL SERVICES OF THE ARCHDIOCESE OF MOBILE.
