[Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

MISSION:

TO ADVANCE THE KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE OF ENGINEERING IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST. TO PROVIDE MEMBER SOCIETIES WITH RELIABLE INFORMATION THAT AFFECTS THE ENGINEERING PROFESSION. TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR ENGINEERING SOCIETIES TO EXCHANGE VIEWS ON COMMON INTEREST. CONDUCT ENGINEERING PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES THAT MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS INDIVIDUALLY COULD NOT ACCOMPLISH THAT ENHANCE AND SERVE THE PUBLIC INTEREST.

THE ASSOCIATION IS FORMED AND IS TO BE OPERATED FOR THE COMMON ASSOCIATION AND INTERESTS OF INDUSTRIAL WOOD PELLET PRODUCERS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERS,UTILITIES OPERATORS,LAND OWNERS AND FOREST PRODUCTS PRODUCERS AND TRANSPORTERS; PROMOTION AND EDUCATION WITH RESPECT TO THE INDUSTRIAL WOOD PELLET INDUSTRY; AND TO ENGAGE IN EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES DIRECTED TOWARDS THE IMPROVEMENT OF BUSINESS CONDITIONS OF THE INDUSTRIAL WOOD PELLET INDUSTRY ALL ON A NOT-FOR-PROFIT BASIS.
