THE AMERICAN DAYLILY SOCIETY EXISTS TO EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT DAYLILIES, PROMOTE THE CULTIVATION AND ENJOYMENT OF DAYLILIES AND FOSTER THE ON-GOING IMPROVEMENT OF THIS PERENNIAL FLOWER (GENUS HEMEROCALLIS). WE ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION THROUGH THE DEDICATED EFFORTS OF ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS, MEMBERS, LOCAL CLUBS AND STAFF WHO ARE COMMITTED TO THE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF OUR EFFORTS TO BUILD SUPPORT FOR THE CULTIVATION AND APPRECIATION OF DAYLILIES.

TO PROMOTE AN UNDERSTANDING OF AND INTEREST IN WILDLIFE AND THE ENVIRONMENT THAT SUPPORTS IT, AND TO FURTHER THE CAUSE OF CONSERVATION OF ALL NATURAL RESOURCES.

INCREASE COMMUNITY AWARENESS THROUGH COMMUNITY EVENTS AND PROVIDE RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THE RESERVE'S MANAGEMENT OF 110,000 ACRES OF LAND AND AQUATIC ACREAGE.

WE UNCOVER THREATS TO PUBLIC HEALTH AND WELLBEING AND FIGHT TO END THEM, USING THE TIME-TESTED TOOLS OF INVESTIGATIVE RESEARCH, MEDIA EXPOSÉS, GRASSROOTS ORGANIZING, ADVOCACY, AND LITIGATION.

The goal of this organization is to preserve and protect water resources from indiscriminate waste and ensure that the supply of quality water is adequate to meet the needs of the public, agriculture and industry. Also included are organizations that preserve and manage coastal lands including shorelines, coastal waters and lands extending inland from the shore which affect coastal waters; bays, lakes, rivers, wetlands, estuaries, watersheds and other aquatic habitats.

TO INSPIRE THE EXPLORATION AND PRESERVATION OF OUR NATURAL AND HISTORIC TREASURES BY PROVIDING DONATIONS OF NEEDED EQUIPMENT AND IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE FOUR BARRIER ISLAND STATE PARKS INCLUDING THE PORT BOCA GRANDE LIGHTHOUSE & MUSEUM, AMORY MEMORIAL CHAPEL MUSEUM AND GASPARILLA ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE & WALKING TRAILS. TO DEVELOP EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, EXHIBITS, PUBLICATIONS AND EVENTS TO ATTAIN THE ABOVE GOALS.

THE AUDUBON SOCIETY HELPS TO PRESERVE WILDLIFE ENVIRONMENT THROUGH EDUCATION, NATURE WALKS AND GUIDED FIELD TRIPS BY MONITORING AND MAINTAINING BIRD NEST BOXES, BUTTERFLIES' GARDEN, AND GROOMING WALKING TRAILS.
