FIGS DISTRIBUTES OVER-THE-COUNTER HEALTH KITS TO NON-PROFITS THAT SERVE A HOMELESS POPULATION TRANSITIONING TO STABLE HOUSING IN WAKE COUNTY, NC. FIGS FUNDS THE UNC SCHOOL OF NURSING MOBILE HEALTH CLINIC TWICE A MONTH IN CARY, NC.

MISSION:

FREDRIKSON & BYRON IS COMMITTED TO IMPROVING THE COMMUNITIES WHERE WE LIVE AND WORK. THE FREDRIKSON & BYRON FOUNDATION EXISTS TO SUPPORT OUR ATTORNEYS' PHILANTHROPIC EFFORTS AND VOLUNTEER WORK IN OUR COMMUNITIES. THE FOUNDATION FOCUSES ITS GRANT MAKING IN AREAS WHERE WE BELIEVE WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. THE FOUNDATION MAKES GRANTS TO LAW SCHOOLS; INVESTS IN PROGRAMS THAT DEVELOP OUR COMMUNITY'S HUMAN CAPITAL; WORKS TO AMELIORATE THE CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF CRIME; AND STRIVES TO IMPROVE THE DELIVERY AND ACCESS TO LEGAL SERVICES. THE FOUNDATION ALSO DONATES TO ARTS AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS THAT IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE COMMUNITIES WHERE WE HAVE OFFICES.

"EMPOWER THE JOB SEEKER" IS THE FLAGSHIP PROGRAM FOR THE CENTER. EMPOWER THE JOB SEEKER PROVIDES ALL THE SKILLS, TOOLS AND RESOURCES THAT A JOB SEEKER NEEDS TO CONDUCT A SUCCESSFUL JOB SEARCH AND SECURE GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES ONE-ON-ONE COACHING ON CAREER EXPLORATION, JOB SEARCH STRATEGIES, MOCK INTERVIEWING, NETWORKING, BRANDING, RESUME WRITING AND LINKEDIN. THE PROGRAM OFFERS A WIDE VARIETY OF RELEVANT AND INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS AND SKILL BUILDING CLASSES ON PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGING THE FINANCIAL, LEGAL AND PERSONAL ASPECTS OF UNEMPLOYMENT.

THE SHOW-ME CURRICULUM ADMINISTRATORS ASSOCIATION (SMCAA) WILL PROVIDE SUPPORT TO MEMBER SCHOOL DISTRICTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT, IMPLEMENTATION, AND EVALUATION OF LOCAL CURRICULUM WHICH IS ALIGNED TO THE MISSOURI SHOW-ME STANDARDS, GRADE LEVEL EXPECTATIONS, AND THAT RESULTS IN ENHANCED STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT.(UNCHANGED SINCE INITIAL-1998)
