THE KEA'AU LAND STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDES ACCESS TO GRANTEES AND OTHER MAKA'AINANA TO AGRICULTURAL LAND AT KEA'AU FOR THE PURPOSES OF 1) PRACTICING HAWAIIAN FARMING AND ANIMAL HUSBANDRY ACTIVITIES 2) EDUCATING COMMUNITY MEMBERS 3) PROVIDING ORGANIC FOOD AND LA'AU FOR THE COMMUNITY 4) PROPAGATING NATIVE HAWAIIAN PLANTS AND BREEDING PIGS, CHICKENS, TURKEYS, AND OTHER HAWAIIAN BIRDS 5) "NO POKI'I KAHAILIOPUA CANOE PROGRAM": THE LAND AT KEA'AU CURRENTLY HOUSES THE TWO FIBERGLASS HULLS (AND TRAILER) THAT WILL BE MADE INTO A SAILING CANOE IN THE FUTURE.
