PUBLIC PRODUCTION - HO'IKE PROVIDES THE OPPORTUNITY FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO HAVE TAKEN AND PASSED THEIR CERTIFICATION COURSE TO USE HO'IKE'S VIDEO AND EDITING EQUIPMENT IN THE PRODUCTION OF INDEPENDENT PROGRAMS THAT BECOME AIRED ON THE PUBLIC ACCESS CHANNEL. MORE THAN 900 INDEPENDENT PROGRAMS ARE PRODUCED BY HO'IKE PRODUCERS ALONG WITH 200 PROGRAMS DEVELOPED OUTSIDE OF THE HO'IKE FACILITY.
GOVERNMENT CHANNEL - HO'IKE BROADCASTS STATE AND COUNTY GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS AND INFORMATION SEVEN DAYS A WEEK. PROGRAMS INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, REGULAR AND SPECIAL COUNTY COUNCIL MEETINGS, THE PLANNING COMMISSION, THE POLICE COMMISSION, WEEKLY PROGRAMS FROM THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR, AND LIVE BROADCASTS FROM VARIOUS STATE LEGISLATURE HEARINGS AND SESSIONS.
PUBLIC OUTREACH - HO'IKE PROVIDES MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY WITH TRAINING ON VIDEO EQUIPMENT TO PROVIDE THEM WITH THE KNOWLEDGE NECESSARY TO PRODUCE VIDEOS TO BE AIRED ON A PUBLIC CHANNEL.
