KAMEHAMEHA SCHOOLS' MISSION IS TO FULFILL PAUAHI'S DESIRE TO CREATE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES IN PERPETUITY TO IMPROVE THE CAPABILITY AND WELL-BEING OF PEOPLE OF HAWAIIAN ANCESTRY.

KAMEHAMEHA SCHOOLS WAS ESTABLISHED UNDER THE WILL AND CODICILS OF BERNICE PAUAHI BISHOP IN 1885 AND OPENED IN 1887 AND IS NOW ONE OF THE LARGEST SCHOOLS IN THE UNITED STATES SERVING KINDERGARTEN THROUGH GRADE 12 AND 29 PRESCHOOLS. FOR OVER ONE-HUNDRED AND THIRTY YEARS, KAMEHAMEHA SCHOOLS HAS CONTINUOUSLY PROVIDED QUALITY EDUCATION GIVING PREFERENCE TO STUDENTS OF HAWAIIAN ANCESTRY TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
