ADVANCEMENT OF LEARNING AND THE CREATION AND DISSEMINATION OF KNOWLEDGE BY OFFERING THE BEST POSSIBLE EDUCATION BY CARRYING OUT RESEARCH AND SCHOLARLY ACTIVITIES JUDGED TO BE EXCELLENT BY THE HIGHEST INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS AND BY PROVIDING SERVICE TO SOCIETY.

TEACHING: PROGRAMS OFFERED TO STUDENTS EARNING CERTIFICATES DIPLOMAS BACHELORS MASTERS & DOCTORAL DEGREES. FOR FALL 2022 SEMESTER THERE WERE 39,513 FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME STUDENTS REGISTERED. RESEARCH: THE OVERALL RESEARCH ACTIVITY IS GENERALLY SUMMARIZED AS TWO MAIN STREAMS: DIRECT RESEARCH GRANTS AND CONTRACTS AND INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS. ACADEMICS FACILITIES: SUPPORTS TEACHING AND RESEARCH FUNCTIONS E.G. LIBRARIES IT SERVICES & CAMPUS MAINTENANCE


STUDENT SERVICES: PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES INTENDED TO SUPPORT AND ENHANCE CAMPUS LIFE AND THE WELL BEING OF THE STUDENTS ATTENDING THE UNIVERSITY. THESE INCLUDE PRIMARILY FINANCIAL AID IN THE FORM OF SCHOLARSHIPS FELLOWSHIPS PRIZES AND AWARDS THAT ARE GIVEN BASED ON SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENT. BURSARIES ARE GIVEN PURELY ON THE BASIS OF NEED. OTHER SERVICES INCLUDE HEALTH CARE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL; CAREER COUNSELING AND THE AVAILABILITY OF SPORTS AND SPORTING FACILITIES. ALL OF THESE ACTIVITIES ARE MAINTAINED ON BOTH CAMPUSES OF THE UNIVERSITY.


COMMUNITY SERVICES: INCLUDE NON-CREDIT COURSES WORKSHOPS SEMINARS CONFERENCES AND THE USE OF UNIVERSITY PERSONNEL EXPERTISE IN JOINT PROJECTS WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS.
