TEACHING: PROGRAMS OFFERED TO STUDENTS EARNING CERTIFICATES DIPLOMAS BACHELORS MASTERS & DOCTORAL DEGREES. FOR FALL 2021 SEMESTER THERE WERE 39,267 FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME STUDENTS REGISTERED. ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS WERE ALSO REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN THE FOLLOWING FACULTIES: EDUCATION GRADUATE AND POSTDOCTORAL STUDIES AND THE SCHOOL OF CONTINUING STUDIES. RESEARCH: THE OVERALL RESEARCH ACTIVITY IS GENERALLY SUMMARIZED AS TWO MAIN STREAMS: DIRECT RESEARCH GRANTS AND CONTRACTS AND INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS. ACADEMICS FACILITIES: SUPPORTS TEACHING AND RESEARCH FUNCTIONS E.G. LIBRARIES IT SERVICES & CAMPUS MAINTENANCE
STUDENT SERVICES: PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES INTENDED TO SUPPORT AND ENHANCE CAMPUS LIFE AND THE WELL BEING OF THE STUDENTS ATTENDING THE UNIVERSITY. THESE INCLUDE PRIMARILY FINANCIAL AID IN THE FORM OF SCHOLARSHIPS FELLOWSHIPS PRIZES AND AWARDS THAT ARE GIVEN BASED ON SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENT. BURSARIES ARE GIVEN PURELY ON THE BASIS OF NEED. ALL OF THESE ACTIVITIES ARE MAINTAINED ON BOTH CAMPUSES OF THE UNIVERSITY.
