COMMUNITY GRANTING - VANCOUVER FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THOUSANDS OF PROJECTS EACH YEAR TO HELP BUILD HEALTHY VIBRANT AND LIVABLE COMMUNITIES ACROSS BRITISH COLUMBIA CANADA.
COMMUNITY RESPONSE INITIATIVE - IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC VANCOUVER FOUNDATION DEPLOYED THE COMMUNITY RESPONSE FUND TO PROVIDE ESSENTIAL RELIEF TO CHARITIES IN BC THAT PROVIDE HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES OR ARTS CULTURE AND COMMUNITY BENEFITS THAT HAD BEEN IMPACTED BY COVID-19 AND ITS ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES. THIS WAS A CROSS-SECTOR PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER CHARITIES NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS CORPORATIONS AND GOVERNMENT.
SYSTEMS CHANGE GRANTS SUPPORT PROJECTS THAT TAKE ACTION TO ADDRESS THE ROOT CAUSES OF PRESSING SOCIAL ENVIRONMENTAL OR CULTURAL ISSUES BY INFLUENCING THE BEHAVIORS OF POPULATIONS ORGANIZATIONS AND INSTITUTIONS. PARTICIPATORY ACTION RESEARCH GRANTS SUPPORT RESEARCH THAT IS CO-LED BY COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND RESEARCHERS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE ROOT CAUSES OF PRESSING ISSUES IMPACTING THE HEALTH OF COMMUNITIES.
