VARIOUS STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS COMPRISED OF A CAMPUS COMMUNITY OF 19,000+ STUDENTS BENEFITTING FROM CLOSE TO TWO HUNDRED ACTIVITIES WHICH WERE ORGANIZED TO ENRICH THE COLLEGE EXPERIENCE. AMONG THESE ACTIVITIES ARE ON-CAMPUS EVENTS, INTRAMURAL AND COMPETITIVE SPORTS, CULTURAL EVENTS, CONFERENCES, RETREATS, BANQUETS, AND VARIOUS ACTIVITIES FOCUSED ON ENHANCING EDUCATION.
THE HIGHLANDER NEWSPAPER IS A WEEKLY PUBLICATION FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, RIVERSIDE CAMPUS COMMUNITY PRODUCED ENTIRELY BY THE STUDENTS. ADS ARE SOLICITED FROM THE CAMPUS COMMUNITY AND LOCAL AREA BUSINESSES. STUDENT WRITERS, PHOTOGRAPHERS AND GRAPHIC ARTISTS ARE PAID MINIMUM WAGE - ONE HOUR PER ARTICLE, PHOTO, GRAPHIC.
