OPERATED AN EARLY EDUCATION CENTER CALLED GAN SIMXA PRESCHOOL WITH AN ENROLLMENT OF APPROXIMATELY TWO DOZEN CHILDREN AGES 1 TO 4. TRADITIONAL JEWISH VALUES ARE MODELED AND REINFORCED IN A WARM AND LOVING ATMOSPHERE. HEBERW LANGUAGE IS INTRODUCED THROUGH SONGS, GAMES, AND RIDDLES, AS WELL AS BOOKS AND CASUAL CONVERSATIONS. EACH DAY AT GAN SIMXA IS FILLED WITH HANDS-ON EXPERIENCES IN SENSORY EXPLORATION, BUILDNG AND SCULPTING, SINGING AND DANCING AND READING. BOTH MONTESSORI AND REGGIO EMILIA CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT PHILOSOPHIES ARE UTILIZED. IN ADDITION, THE "CREATIVE CURRICULUM FOR PRESCHOOL" IS USED.
HOSTED A VARIETY OF RELIGIOUS AND CULTRAL EVENTS FEATURING GUEST LECTURERS, SPEAKERS, MUSICIANS, AND PERFORMERS OF VARIOUS JEWISH DENOMINATIONS. MANY RUSSIAN JEWS OF ALL AGES AND WALKS OF LIFE BONDED AND EXPERIANCED TRUE SPIRITUAL GROWTH THROUGH THESE ENRICHING ENCOUNTERS.
