THE PURPOSE OF PARK PARTHENIA, LTD., A CALIFORNIA NON-PROFIT CORPORATION IS TO PRESERVE AND PROVIDE SAFE AND ADEQUATE HOUSING FOR LOW AND MODERATE INCOME PERSONS AND FAMILIES.PARK PARTHENIA, LTD., A CALIFORNIA NON-PROFIT CORPORATION IS A GENERAL PARTNER IN A PARTNERSHIP OWNING A COMBINED 447 UNITS IN 48 BUILDINGS WHICH PROVIDES HOUSING FOR 2,035 INDIVIDUALS. THE ORGANIZATION DOES A GOOD HOUSEKEEPING PROGRAM FOR ALL RESIDENTS AND PROVIDES SPACE FOR A COMMUNITY BRANCH OF THE CHILD AND FAMILY GUIDANCE CENTER WHICH PROVIDES MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES, INCLUDING POSITIVE PARENTING PROGRAM (TRIPLE P), IN HOME BEHAVIORAL SERVICES (I-BIT), PARENT-CHILD INTERACTION THERAPY (PCIT) AND OTHER PREVENTION AND EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAMS. ADDITIONALLY, PARENTING CLASSES ARE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE. THE OUTREACH PROGRAM PROVIDES MEDI-CAL AND COVERED CALIFORNIA OUTREACH, UTILIZATION, RETENTION AND REDETERMINATION SERVICES TO THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY. DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE ORGANIZATION HELPED QUALIFIED FAMILIES WITH APPLYING FOR LA CITY AND CALIFORNIA RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. THE CHILD AND FAMILY GUIDANCE CENTER ALSO PROVIDED FREE COVID-19 VACCINATIONS AND SELF-TESTING KITS TO COMMUNITY RESIDENTS.ANNUAL EVENTS AT THE COMMUNITY FAMILY CENTER ALSO INCLUDE: ANNUAL HEALTH FAIR WITH MORE THAN 31 AGENCIES PARTICIPATING AND DISTRIBUTION OF THANKSGIVING BASKETS AND HOLIDAY TOYS TO FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY.
IN 1999, THE ORGANIZATION PURCHASED A SIX UNIT APARTMENT BUILDING IN THE PARK PARTHENIA COMPLEX AND BEGAN PROVIDING THIS ADDITIONAL HOUSING TO ANOTHER 31 INDIVIDUALS.IN 2001, THE ORGANIZATION PURCHASED AN ADDITIONAL 8 UNIT APARTMENT BUILDING IN THE PARK PARTHENIA COMPLEX AND BEGAN PROVIDING THIS ADDITIONAL HOUSING TO ANOTHER 44 INDIVIDUALS.DURING THE YEAR 2011, THE ORGANIZATION PURCHASED 23 UNITS OF SINGLE FAMILY HOUSES IN DISSTRESSED AREAS. REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE WERE COMPLETED IN ORDER TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR LOW AND MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES. BY THE END OF 2016 ALL HOUSES WERE RENTED OUT. THE ORGANIZATION CURRENTLY OWNS 7 SINGLE FAMILY HOMES, ALL OCCUPIED BY LOW AND MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES.
