Part 3
DURING THE FISCAL YEAR NOVEMBER 1, 2019 THROUGH OCTOBER 31, 2020, THE ORGANIZATION, AS THE REST OF THE WORLD, WAS IMPACTED SIGNIFICANTLY FROM THE COVID-19 SHUT DOWNS. WE HAD CLOSED OUR GIFT SHOP IN OCTOBER 2019 FOR SIGNIFICANT RENOVATIONS AND WERE NEVER ABLE TO REOPEN IT AND IT IS STILL CLOSED AS OF THIS FILING. WE WERE NOT ABLE TO HOLD OUR NORMAL FUND RAISING EVENTS SUCH AS SILENTS UNDER THE STARS AND OUR ANNUAL POW-WOW EVENT, AND THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA SPONSORED COWBOY POETRY & MUSIC FESTIVAL. WE DID RECEIVE SOME MEMBERSHIP FEES AND GENERAL DONATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC DURING OUR FISCAL YEAR.WE WERE ABLE TO USE THESE FUNDS ALONG WITH SOME OF OUR RESERVE FUNDS TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING THE PARK OPERATIONS AS REQUESTED. FUNDS WERE USED FOR VARIOUS PURPOSES AROUND THE PARK SUCH AS MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS BY PURCHASING VARIOUS MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES AS REQUESTED BY PARK STAFF. WE ALSO PROVIDED SUPPORT FOR THE CARE AND WELL-BEING OF THE VARIOUS ANIMALS THAT ARE LOCATED WITHIN THE PARK SUCH AS FOOD AND VETERINARY SERVICES. WE ARE HOPING THAT THINGS OPEN BACK UP IN THE NEAR FUTURE SO THAT WE CAN ONCE AGAIN HELP COORDINATE VOLUNTEER GROUPS WHICH SERVE THE PARK AND THE MUSEUM AND HOLD ACTIVITIES THAT ALLOW THE PUBLIC THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE THE PARK AND ITS MANY HISTORICAL AND CONTEMPORARY PLEASURES.
