WE PLAY AN ACTIVE ROLE IN THE PROMOTION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE TREATY ON THE PROHIBITION OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS TPNW AS PART OF AND ALONGSIDE OTHER PROMINENT GROUPS INCLUDING THE INTERNATIONAL CAMPAIGN TO ABOLISH NUCLEAR WEAPONS ICAN INTERNATIONAL PHYSICIALS FOR PREVENTION OF NUCLEAR WAR IPPNW AND OTHERS. WE PARTICIPATE IN MEETINGS DELIVER STATEMENTS AND WORK MOST SPECIFICALLY ON THE POSITIVE OBLIGATIONS OF THE TREATY FOR VICTIM ASSISTANCE AND ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION.
REVERSE THE TREND SAVE OUR PLANET SAVE OUR PEOPLE IS A YOUTH INITIATIVE OF THE NUCLEAR AGE PEACE FOUNCATION FOCUSED ON AMPLIFYING THE VOICES OF YOUNG PEOPLE PARTICULARLY THOSE FROM AFFECTED COMMUNITIES ON THE TWIN THREATS OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND CLIMATE CHANGE. TO THIS END WE HAVE ORGANIZED NUMEROUS IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL EVENTS AND SPONSORED TRAVEL TO MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES FOR A COUPLE OF DOZEN YOUNG PEOPLE TO PARTICIPATE IN AND CONTRIBUTE TO THOSE GATHERINGS.
WE HELD ONLINE AND LIVE EVENTS TO RAISE AWARENESS OF NUCLEAR DANGERS ARISING FROM THE UKRAINE WAR AND BROADER GLOBAL INSTABILITY AS WELL AS THE SHEER EXISTENCE OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS. * NUCLEAR DANGERS SERIES: A SERIES OF VIRTUAL DISCUSSIONS WITH LEADING THINKERS EXPERTS AND INTELLECTUALS * SADAKO PEACE DAY: A COMMEMORATIVE EVENT IN HONOR OF VICTIMS OF ATOMIC BOMBINGS IN HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI * WOMEN WAGING PEACE: AN EVENT CELEBRATING WOMEN WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE CAUSE OF NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT
