THE CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM OF THE CALIFORNIA CHAPTER 4, AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS PROVIDES RESOURCES TO HELP PHYSICIANS IN DEVELOPING, MAINTAINING, AND IMPROVING THEIR SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THEIR RELATIONSHIPS AND INTERACTIONS WITH THEIR PATIENTS, THE PUBLIC AND OTHER HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS. 250 PEOPLE WERE SERVED IN THE PROGRAM THIS YEAR.
THE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES COMMISSION OF ORANGE COUNTY PROGRAM HAS A LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIP WITH THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS, CALIFORNIA CHAPTER 4 AND THE CHAPTER IS A CRITICAL PARTNER FOR THE COMMISSION'S INVESTMENTS IN CHILDREN'S HEALTH PROGRAMS. THIS PARTNERSHIP PROVIDES ACCESS TO PEDIATRIC EXPERTS AND NATIONAL STATE PEDIATRIC HEALTH STANDARDS BY WHICH TO MEASURE COMMISSION FUNDED PROGRAMS TO ENSURE QUALITY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS AGREEMENT IS TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO MEET THE HEALTH CARE NEEDS OF CHILDREN WITH CHRONIC AND/OR MEDICAL CONDITIONS AND TO IMPROVE CHILD HEALTH OUTCOMES AMONG ORANGE COUNTY CHILDREN FROM BIRTH THROUGH AGE FIVE. 150 PEOPLE WERE SERVED IN THE PROGRAM THIS YEAR.
