Part 3
GORDON ACRES WATER COMPANY HAS PROVIDED WATER FOR ITS RESIDENTS SINCE 1973. ITS SYSTEMS ARE OBSOLETE AND IN POOR SHAPE, AND ONE OF ITS WELLS IS NO LONGER USABLE. THE BOARD MEMBERS APPLIED FOR GRANTS TO REBUILD AND IMPROVE ITS WATER SYSTEM. THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA PROVIDES THE GRANT FUNDING AND HAS HIRED NV5, A LARGE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, TO RUN THE PROGRAM. NV5 IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR REHABBING AND BUILDING NEW WATER SYSTEMS, WHICH INCLUDE PERMITS, PLANNING, AND CONSTRUCTION. THEY ARE GETTING NEW LINES, FIRE HYDRANTS, AND POSSIBLY A NEW STORAGE TANK AND NEW METERS.
