CCNMA SPONSORED CONFERENCES, WORKSHOPS AND MEMBERSHIP\BOARD MEETINGS STATEWIDE, AS WELL AS CHAPTER MEETINGS SERVING 8,000 PEOPLE. THESE PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND PRACTICAL TRAINING IN JOURNALISM.
CCMNA MEMBERS AND STAFF MET WITH RESIDENTS, PEOPLE IN JOURNALISM, EDUCATORS, AND PROFESSIONALS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE CAREER INFORMATION TO STUDENTS. THIS INCLUDED INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AND A JOB HOTLINE.APPROXIATELY 5,000 PEOPLE WERE CONTACTED.
CCMNA AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS ATTENDING COMMUNITY COLLEGES, 4 YEAR COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. THESE WERE AWARDED TO STUDENTS INTERESTED IN DEVELOPING OR PURSUING JOURNALISM CAREERS.
