THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS THE ANNUAL SANTA MARIA ELKS RODEO. SINCE 1943 THE RODEO GENERATES FUNDS FOR YOUTH RECREATION IN THE SANTA MARIA VALLEY. THE RODEO ATTRACTS WORLD CLASS COMPETITION, AND HAS RANKED AS HIGH AS 22ND IN THE WORLD AND THIRD IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
ANNUAL QUEEN CONTEST RAISES FUNDS FOR LOCAL NON PROFIT GROUPS. ALL FUNDS RAISED DURING THE RODEO PERIOD FOR THE RODEO QUEENS, IS RETURNED TO THE GROUPS AFTER PAYING DIRECT EXPENSES. OVER 90% OF REVENUES RAISED WAS RETURNED TO THE ORGANIZATIONS IN 2023. EXPENSES INCLUDE AMOUNT RETURNED TO ORGANIZATIONS IN 2023 OF $863,437
ANNUAL CHRISTMAS IN THE COUNTRY IS HELD DURING HOLIDAY PERIOD FOR LOCAL SANTA MARIA VALLEY AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. ENTERTAINMENT ACTS AND CHRISTMAS DECOR ARE SETUP ON THE RODEO GROUNDS FOR FAMILIES TO DRIVE THRU.
ANNUAL HAUNTED HILLS IS HELD DURING THE HARVEST PERIOD TO HALLOWEEN FOR LOCAL SANTA MARIA VALLEY FAMILIES AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. VOLUNTEERS DECORATE AND ACT OUT A DRIVE THRU HAUNTED HOUSE ON THE RODEO GROUNDS.
