CCCA EXISTS TO MAXIMIZE MINISTRY FOR MEMBER CAMPS AND CONFERENCE CENTERS.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
CONVENTIONS & MEETINGS: WE HOSTED AN ONLINE EXPERIENCE AS A STAND-IN FOR OUR NATIONAL CONFERENCE IN DECEMBER 2020 BECAUSE OF THE COVID 19 SITUATION. WE PROVIDED THIS AS A FREE EVENT FOR OUR MEMBERS, A WAY TO CONNECT VIRTUALLY INSTEAD OF NOT AT ALL. WE HAVE THE PRIVILEGE OF SERVING HUNDREDS OF MEMBERS VIRTUALLY, INVITING PRESENTERS TO TEACH ON THE CORE DISCIPLINES OF CHRISTIAN CAMPING AND CREATING TIME FOR MEMBERS TO NETWORK WITH ONE ANOTHER.
MEMBER SERVICES:WE PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES INCLUDING WEBINARS AND PUBLICATIONS FOR MEMBER CAMPS, A WEBSITE WITH RESOURCES AND A DIRECTORY FOR BOTH MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC. EACH SUMMER WE GRANT FUNDS TO MEMBER CAMPS FOR THE PURPOSE OF COVERING THE COST OF A WEEK AT CAMP FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN WITH A SPECIAL FOCUS ON KIDS IN THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM. CCCA SPEARHEADS THE NATIONWIDE, PUBLIC-FACING CAMPAIGN, THE POWER OF CAMP, REACHING YOUTH LEADERS, PARENTS AND PROSPECTIVE CAMP STAFF MEMBERS. CCCA ALSO OFFERS THE THRIVING BOARDS PROGRAM TO HELP CAMP AND CONFERENCE CENTER BOARDS IDENTIFY STRATEGIC NEXT STEPS AND BENCHMARKS NEEDED TO CREATE A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE. THE 9 TO 12 MONTH PROGRAM IS BUILT ON A COHORT-LEARNING MODEL, WHICH INCLUDES READING ASSIGNMENTS, INTERACTIVE FACULTY PRESENTATIONS AND PRACTICAL DIALOGUE AMONG COLLEAGUES.
