THE MISSION OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS DIVISION OF THE CALIFORNIA SOCIETY OF ANESTHESIOLOGISTS IS TO PROVIDE RELEVANT, TIMELY, HIGH QUALITY EDUCATION TO ANESTHESIA PROFESSIONALS FROM CALIFORNIA AND ALL OVER THE WORLD. THIS, IN TURN, ALLOWS THE LEARNERS TO DELIVER HIGH QUALITY PATIENT CARE. WE DELIVER THIS EDUCATION USING A VARIETY OF PLATFORMS, INCLUDING DIDACTIC LECTURES, JOURNAL ARTICLES, INTERNET COURSES AND HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS.


ESTABLISHED A CERTIFICATE OF LEADERSHIP IN HEALTHCARE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UC IRVINE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS WITH A COHORT OF 25 INDIVIDUALS ANNUALLY.


ENGAGED IN EFFORTS TO EDUCATE STATE LEVEL POLICYMAKERS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF PHYSICIAN LED ANESTHESIA CARE TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF PATIENT CARE AND REDUCE COSTS AND TIME ASSOCIATED WITH SURGICAL OUTCOMES, PATIENT RECOVERY AND PAIN MANAGEMENT.
