THE HUDSON VOLLEYBALL ASSOCIATION'S PHILOSOPHY AND INTENT IS TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP THE SPORT OF VOLLEYBALL AT THE MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL. THIS IS DONE THROUGH AN EMPHASIS ON TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION THAT TEACHES THE SKILLS AND ATTITUDES NEEDED TO PLAY THE SPORT COMPETITIVELY. GOAL SETTING AND ACHEIVEMENT OF THESE GOALS ARE EMPHASIZED AND USED AS A MEASURE OF SUCCESS. THIS ASSURES AN ATMOSPHERE THAT PROMOTES INDIVIDUAL SKILL IMPROVEMENT AND A MENTAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE GAME WHILE ENCOURAGING COMPETITIVENESS AND FUN.
