THE GOAL WAS TO UNITE THE ENTIRE HINDU POPULATION OF GREATER HOUSTON AT ONE PLACE TO DEVELOP A STRONG UNITY AND BROTHERHOOD AMONG THE HINDU COMMUNITY. THE IDEA WAS DISCUSSED WITH A NUMBER OF ACTIVE HINDU INDIVIDUALS AND ASSOCIATIONS AND THUS EVOLVED THE JANMASHTAMI FESTIVAL.

AS THE HGH GOAL IS NOT ONLY BRING THE HINDU COMMUNITY AT LARGE IN THE LOCAL HOUSTON COMMUNITY BUT ALSO EXTEND OUR SUPPORT TO CRISIS THAT HINDUS FACE ACROSS THE GLOBE. WE BRING ATTENTION TO THE DIFFICULTIES AND HARDSHIPS PEOPLE FACE IN MANY PARTS OF THE WORLD. REPRESENTATIVES FROM OVER 28 HINDU TEMPLES AND ORGANIZATIONS MET AT VPSS WHEREIN THE NATURE OF COLLABORATIVE ACTIVITIES, PLANS FOR 2021 AND STRENGTHENING THE HINDU COMMUNITY WAS DISCUSSED.THE VHPA HINDU HERITAGE CAMP WAS TRANSFERRED IN 2018 AND CONDUCTED BY HGH SINCE THEN. THIS CAMP ATTACTS HINDU CHILDREN AND YOUTH FOR 2 WEEKENDS IN LARGE NUMBERS. THE ENTIRE CAMP IS MENTORED BY PAST ALUMNI FROM THE CAMP. THE SUCCESS RATE OF THIS CAMP WAS THE SIGNATURE REASON FOR ACTIVATING AND ALIGNING IT WITH HGHHGH RAISED FUNDS FOR HINDU HERITAGE CAMPSITE WHICH IS BEING BUILT
HGH TOOK THE INITIATIVE TO ENCOURAGE YOUTH WHO ARE INVOLVED IN COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES AND HAVE A VISION OF EXPANSION OF THEIR FAITH TO THEIR FRIENDS AND PEERS. THIS IS RECOGNITION OF THEIR DEDICATION TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY AND CELEBRATE THE FUTURE LEADERSHIP IN HINDU COMMUNITY. THE VIRTUAL YOUTH AWARD NIGHT WAS SUCH AN EVENT WHERE YOUTH NOMINATIONS WERE SOUGHT FROM VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS AND TEMPLES. THEY HAD A MOTIVATIONAL SPEECHES THAT EVENING
OTHER OUTREACH ACTIVITIES FOR THE COMMUNITY AND HINDU CAUSE INCLUDING THE INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY AT INDIA HOUSE AND ALL ACROSS THE CITY
