SAFEHOUSE PROVIDES TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO AID AND SUPPORT HOMELESS WOMEN WHO HAVE BEEN COMMERCIALLY SEXUALLY EXPLOITED. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS IN CONCERT WITH THE SAN FRANCISCO NETWORK MINISTRIES HOUSING CORPORATION, WHICH RECEIVES AND DISBURSES GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS. SAFEHOUSE ALSO PROVIDES AFTERCARE FOR GRADUATES UP TO A YEAR AFTER GRADUATION. THE GOAL IS TO SUPPORT AND EMPOWER WOMEN TO BECOME INDEPENDENT AND SELF-SUFFICIENT. SAFEHOUSE GRADUATES GO ON TO SECURE PERMANENT HOUSING, TO FIND JOBS THEY ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT, AND TO LIVE A FULL LIFE WITH DIGNITY AND HOPE. IN ADDITION TO OPERATING OUR TWO PERMANENT PROGRAMS, SFNMHC AND SFSH OPERATED A TEMPORARY COVID SIP HOTEL THAT OPENED IN AUGUST OF 2020.
