THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE GOALS OF THE SHINNYO-EN ORDER, BY PROMOTING THE TENETS OF HARMONY, COMPASSION AND ALTRUISM; THOSE "UNIVERSAL VALUES" ESPOUSED BY THE FOUNDER OF THE ORDER. THE FOUNDATION'S GRANT PROGRAM SUPPORTS COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS THAT PROMOTE AND ENGAGE YOUTH IN MEANINGFUL ACTS OF SERVICE WITH THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF PROMOTING GLOBAL PEACE THROUGH SERVICE.
