THE SOVREN GUILD WAS FORMED IN 1991 WITH THE SOLE PURPOSE OF WORKING WITH SOVREN (SOCIETY OF VINTAGE RACING ENTHUSIASTS) TO PRODUCE AND PRESENT THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST HISTORICS VINTAGE AUTO RACES PRIMARILY AS A BENEFIT FOR UNCOMPENSATED CARE AT SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL. IN ADDITION TO THE FUNDS THAT THE SOVREN GUILD HAS CONTRIBUTED SINCE ITS INCEPTION, THE GUILD OFFERS INCREDIBLE VISIBILITY FOR THE HOSPITAL THROUGH THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST HISTORICS. IN 1997, THE SOVREN GUILD WAS PRESENTED WITH THE SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL GUILD ASSOCIATION'S "CHAIRMAN'S AWARD" FOR ITS OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE HOSPITAL.
