INSTRUCTION ART WITH ELDERS PRIMARY ACTIVITY IS TO OFFER YEAR-LONG ART CLASSES THAT USUALLY MEET WEEKLY IN LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES FOR THE ELDERLY. THE ELDER ARTISTS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS, WHO ENCOURAGED THEM TO EXPLORE THEIR INTERESTS WHILE DEVELOPING NEW SKILLS.
EXHIBITION ORGANIZATION'S SECOND FOCUS IS IN EXHIBITING THE WORK CREATED IN THE CLASSES IN PUBLIC SHOWINGS AROUND THE BAY AREA AND ON OUR WEBSITE - LOCATIONS INCLUDING SAN FRANCISCO'S INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, THE WAR MEMORIAL, THE DEPARTMENT OF AGING AND ADULT SERVICES, THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, LAGUNA HONDA HOSPITAL AND REHABILITATION CENTER, AND THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT SAN FRANCISCO MEMORY AND AGING UNIT.
