MEMBER, EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES. NWABR PROVIDES A RANGE OF SERVICES TO BOTH THE RESEARCH AND BROADER COMMUNITIES WHICH ARE AIMED AT ACHIEVING ITS MISSION: THE PROMOTION OF PUBLIC TRUST IN BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH, AND ITS ETHICAL CONDUCT. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE THE PROVISION OF SEVERAL RESEARCH CONFERENCES EACH YEAR. NWABR CONFERENCES FOCUS ON: BIOSAFETY; ANIMAL CARE AND USE; HUMAN SUBJECTS RESEARCH PROTECTIONS; CLINICAL RESEARCH TRIALS; COMMUNICATIONS, AND BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH SECURITY. THESE SERVICES ALSO INCLUDE OUTREACH TO THE BROADER COMMUNITY SO THAT THEY CAN BE ENGAGED IN BIOMEDICAL AND RESEARCH DISCUSSIONS. THE BROADER COMMUNITY OUTREACH INCLUDES THE RESEARCH AMBASSADORS PROGRAM AND THE SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.
