QUAKER CENTER IS A RETREAT AND CONFERENCE CENTER UNDER THE CARE OF THE RELIGIOUS SOCIETY OF FRIENDS (QUAKERS). IN 2022, THE CENTER WAS ABLE TO HOLD A FULL CALENDAR OF IN-PERSON AND ONLINE PROGRAMS AS WELL AS CAMPS FOR CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND FAMILIES. QUAKER CENTER ALSO HOSTED A WIDE ARRAY OF GROUPS, ORGANIZATIONS AND EVENTS. NONE OF THESE WERE UP TO PRE-COVID LEVELS, HOWEVER, AND THE CENTER AGAIN OPERATED AT A LOSS AS WE CONTINUE OUR CLIMB OUT OF THE PANDEMIC. WE ENTERED 2023 WITH HIGH HOPES AND MUCH ACTIVITY, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME STILL CONFRONTING REDUCED INCOME, INCREASED COSTS AND EXTREME WEATHER EVENTS.
