ANTELOPE EATERS HUNT WAS CONDUCTED TO SUPRESS THE NUMBER OF COYOTES WHEN ANTELOPE,DEER AND ELK FAWNS ARE VULNERABLE. BIOLOGISTS HAVE DETERMINED THAT COYOTES ARE THE NUMBER ONE PREDATOR OF GAME ANIMALS.
1. PROVIDE A SHOOTING RANGE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN NORTHERN ARIZONA. 2. SPONSOR A CIVILIAN MARKSMANSHIP PROGRAM(CMP) TO PROVIDE CIVILIANS AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN AND PRACTICE MARKSMANSHIP SKILLS. 3. ALLOW THE BOY SCOUTS TO USE THE RANGE FACILITIES AT NO COST FOR CAMPOUTS AND OTHER SCOUT ACTIVITIES. 4. SPONSOR LOCAL 4-H GROUPS IN ARCHERY AND FIREARMS TRAINING AS WELL AS A JUNIOR MARKSMANSHIP PROGRAM. 5. PARTICIPATE IN HUNTING RANCH CLEANUPS AT RANCHES IN NORTHERN ARIZONA TO ENCOURAGE RANCH OWNERS TO KEEP THEIR LANDS OPEN FOR USE BY THE PUBLIC FOR HUNTING AND OTHER RECREATIONAL PURPOSES.
