GRANTS TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION HAVE BEEN MADE IN PREVIOUS YEARS, PURSUANT TO THE GRANT CONDITIONS IMPOSED BY THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE TO AVOID ECONOMIC DISLOCATION AND ADJUSTMENT WITHIN SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY AND AT THE COUNTY'S RECOMMENDATION AS STATED IN THE PLAN. NO GRANTS WERE MADE DURING THE CURRENT REPORTING YEAR. THE ORGANIZTION HAS CONTINUED SERVICING THE GRANTS MADE PREVIOUSLY.


THE PURPOSE OF THE SSED PROGRAM IS TO ALLEVIATE SUDDEN AND SEVERE ECONOMIC DISLOCATION CAUSED BY THE CORONAVIRUS IN THE FORM OF A NEW REVOLVING LOAN FUND.WE HAVE LOANED OUT APPROXIMATELY $3,800,000 CREATING, RETAINING, AND SAVING OVER 60 JOBS.
