THE WESTERN REGION OF THE PROFESSIONAL SKI INSTRUCTORS OF AMERICA AND AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTORS EXISTS TO ESTABLISH, EDUCATE, CERTIFY, AND MAINTAIN, THROUGH EXAMINATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, EXCEPTIONAL STANDARDS OF SNOWSPORTS INSTRUCTION IN LINE WITH NATIONAL STANDARDS AND BEST PRACTICES IN STUDENT-CENTERED TEACHING AND LEARNING. THIS NON-PROFIT OPERATES AS A VITAL INDUSTRY PARTNER, FOSTERING WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT IN OUTDOOR RECREATION AND MAINTAINS A CENTRAL COMMITMENT TO ACCESS, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION, TO ENSURE THE LONG-TERM SUSTAINABILITY OF THE INDUSTRY.
