THE VAILIMA FOUNDATION IS A MUSEUM OF ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON'S LITERARY WORKS, DOCUMENTS, AND OTHER MEMORABILIA.THE MUSEUM IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FROM 12:00 NOON TO 4:00 P.M. DAILY EXCEPT SUNDAYS AND MONDAYS.VISITORS COME INDIVIDUALLY AND IN TOUR GROUPS AND SCHOOL CLASS GROUPS. QUITE OFTEN SCHOLARS COME TO DO RESEARCH.THE VAILIMA FOUNDATION DOES NOT CHARGE THE PUBLIC FOR ADMISSION.REVENUE FROM THE SALE OF BOOKS AND POSTCARDS, RELATING TO THE MUSEUM OR THE ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON COLLECTION, ARE SOLD AT A PRICE SET TO REIMBURSE THE FOUNDATION FOR ITS COSTS AND OVERHEAD.
