TO PROVIDE PERPETUAL MEMORY OF THE OLD WEST AND THE PIONEERS WHO BROUGHT CVILIZATION TO OREGON AND UMATILLA COUNTY. TO PRESERVE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS THE MEMORY OF THE MANNER OF LIFE, PLEASURES, AND HARDSHIPS OF THE EMIGRANTS ON THE OREGON TRAIL; TO PRESERVE THE CUSTOMS AND LIFE OF THE INDIAN TRIBES WHO OCCUPIED THE OREGON COUNTRY; TO PRESERVE PROTECT AND HONOR THE MEMORY OF VETERANS; TO ENCOURAGE ANNUAL COMMUNITY CELEBRATION AND ENTERTAINMENT. THE FOUNDATION ANNUALLY AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES TO ASSIST WITH THE COST OF SECONDARY EDUCATION AND MAKES DONATIONS TO LOCAL CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL AND CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS.

PROVIDED 6 SCHOLARSHIPS TO LOCAL YOUTH.
PROVIDED GRANT SUPPORT TO BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS WHO ANNUALLY PARTICIPATE IN AND BENEFIT FROM THE PENDLETON ROUND UP AND HAPPY CANYON NIGHT SHOW. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, NO SHOW WAS HELD IN 2020. FUNDS WERE USED IN EARLY 2021 TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR ORGANIZATIONS WHO WERE AFFECTED BY THE LOSS OF INCOME IN 2020. IN COLLABORATION WITH THE OREGON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, 29 DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS AND INDVIDUALS RECIEVED MONETARY SUPPORT TO HELP THEM CONTINUE OPERATIONS DURING THE ONGOING PANDEMIC. IN ADDITION TO THE 29 INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS WHO RECEIVED FUNDING DIRECTLY, HAPPY CANYON FOUNDATION PARTNERED WITH THE PENDLETON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO DISPERSE FUNDS TO 50 LOCAL RESTAURANTS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS WHICH WERE IMPACTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITY STRONG
