Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

NEW HOPE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE'S 2021-2022 YEAR WAS ONE OF RENEWED STUDENT INVOLVEMENT. TO BEGIN WITH, THE COLLEGE STARTED AHEAD OF SCHEDULE BY INVITING MANY OF OUR INCOMING FRESHMEN TO A NEW "JUMP START" PROGRAM WHERE THEY SETTLED IN, HELPED OUT AROUND CAMPUS, AND BUILT RELATIONSHIPS; THEY ALSO EARNED SOME MONEY TOWARDS THEIR FALL TUITION. THERE WERE EIGHT NEW MISSION-FIT STUDENTS WHO BEGAN IN THE SUMMER AND FALL, AND THESE STUDENTS ALSO HELPED WITH THE YEAR'S FIRST BIG EVENT, THE NEW HOPE CLASSIC, WHICH IS THE SCHOOL'S ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER THAT RAISED NEARLY $70,000 FOR SCHOLARSHIPS. THIS HAD BEEN PAUSED FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS DUE TO COVID, SO IT WAS GREAT TO ONCE AGAIN SEE THE STUDENTS INTERACTING WITH THE GENEROUS DONORS IN AN INFORMAL SETTING. THE COLLEGE ALSO REDOUBLED ITS EFFORTS IN RECRUITING BY HAVING STUDENTS REPRESENT THE COLLEGE ON A NUMBER OF OUTREACHES TRAVELING AS FAR AS HAWAII. STUDENTS TRAVELED AND PERFORMED TO SHOWCASE WHAT THEY ARE LEARNING. MOREOVER, THE STUDENTS WERE HIGHLY ENGAGED IN PUTTING ON A NUMBER OF LARGE EVENTS SUCH AS AN ISLAND STYLE PERFORMANCE AND NEW HOPE WEST SERVICES THAT DREW IN MORE THAN 1500 PEOPLE AT TIMES. STUDENTS WERE ENGAGED IN THE PLANNING AND PRODUCTION, AND OFTEN WERE PART OF THE PERFORMANCES. WE ENDED THE ACADEMIC YEAR WITH THIRTEEN STUDENTS COMPLETING THEIR BACHELOR'S AND TWO COMPLETING THEIR ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE.
